About Izet Oosting-Hummel
I paint from my fascination with nature. In a landscape I look for light and space, in a tree for shape and age, and in an animal for posture and character. I work mainly in acrylic and build up my paintings layer by layer. My goal is not to copy nature literally, but to capture what strikes me about it.
